Thigh Lift Overview
The thigh lift procedure is typically performed after massive weight loss.  It helps to lift droopy thigh and buttock skin.  Both medial and lateral thighs can be addressed.  Scars are typically well hidden by the patient’s undergarments.  Compression garments are worn for the first 6 weeks.

Anesthesia type:  General

Length of surgery:  4-6 hours

Risks:  Infection, bleeding, poor scars, asymmetry, delayed wound healing, seroma, wound dehiscence, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolus

Average recovery time:  Return to work in 2 weeks; start to resume normal activity in 4 weeks; feeling back to normal in 6-8 weeks

Duration of effect:  8-10 years
